My sixteen year old daughter got a ticket for driving without car insurance in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The vehicles is owned by her friend. I would like to know if I am liable for this and if it will raise our car insurance rate.

According to the OK driver’s manual all Oklahoma car owners or drivers are required to carry minimum liability insurance.

Since your sixteen year old daughter does not own the vehicle and may not be aware that the vehicle that she was driving in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is uninsured, she may contact the court listed on the ticket citation and ask if she can dismiss the ticket if she gives them the name of the car owner.

It depends on the rating system of your car insurance company if this driving without insurance ticket that your daughter received will affect your car insurance rate or not.
