California Casualty and the University of California have a contract that greatly benefits visiting scholars and post-doctoral fellow. Because most car insurance companies do not offer car insurance to drivers with no US driving experience, California Casualty offers car insurance coverage to University employees without a California driver’s license (but only has an international or country license).
