The Point & Insurance Reduction Program (PIRP) is a program designed to remove demerit points from a driver’s record. It is approved by the New York Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and is available in your home-state New York.

Completing PIRP gives you the following advantages:

1. May remove points form your driving record for as much as 4 points. Your eligibility on this is automatically noted by DMV computer;
2. A minimum reduction of 10% from your auto insurance base rate (given that you are the principal operator of a vehicle) This applies on your motorcycle and automobile collision and liability coverage and said discount is good for three years;
3. Will give you a refresher on driving knowledge like traffic laws, driving tips, and general idea on today’s automobile.
