I have an unregistered and uninsured car. I am not using it. I am wondering if I can park it anywhere. If I do, will that be ok? I still don’t have auto insurance because I’m still checking on different car insurance companies. I live in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

I am quite confused with your question. You said you don’t use your car, if you don’t then I am wondering why would you park it anywhere? I assume that if a car is not used then it will stay in your parking lot all the time.

But just to answer your question, from my own opinion I don’t think parking your unregistered and uninsured car anywhere is a good idea. Most especially if you park it in a community parking lot because it is a public place, then the law enforcement officer can either issue you a ticket or much worse your car be impounded.

It would be best to have your car park in your own parking lot. And please make sure you do not drive around with an unregistered and uninsured car. Because if I am not mistaken, if you are caught driving without auto insurance you could be fine as much as $500, have it on your driving records and worse a higher insurance rates awaits you.
